Seaside Supports National Team

This past weekend Canada's National Women's Volleyball team held an inter-squad match in preparation for their upcoming international summer competitions including the qualifier tournament for the Olympics being held in Russia. The match was held at Pacific Academy and the crowd was well represented by a host of Seaside Volleyball Club athletes from all ages, both boys and girls. Spectators were able to get their first look at the new team with the recent changes to the coaching staff. Tom Black (head coach) and the supporting assistant coaches (including Ben Josephson, TWU Men's Head Coach) give the team more of a North American cultural feel than in previous years. The team is represented by several BC athletes including Kyra van Ryk (Surrey), Kyla Richey (Roberts Creek), Alycia Perrin (Creston), Emily Maglio (Coquitlam) and Sarah Chase (Campbell River).
