Former Seaside Parents Reunite

It was a bit of a party atmosphere in Kamloops this past weekend. Former Seaside players from both teams were squaring off against each other, and a large Seaside parent Alumni and coach contingency from the Fraser Valley were in attendance.  The Wolfs and Hoogewonings were in attendance cheering on Alyssa and Krista who recently transferred from other schools to play at TRU. Thompson Rivers, with new coach Chad Grimm are making huge strides from last year and the two Seaside veterans are making their mark.  The Klomps and Beamish families were also in attendance, supporting Katy and Brianna who are both in their 4th year at UBCO. Moira Cassell former assistant coach for their Seaside Club team was also in attendance, cheering on both teams. The Heat are at the top of the CIS rankings nationally, with Katy and Brianna dominating this year on the courts. These four girls have been playing together for over 8 years, starting at Seaside. At the most recent Canada Games they won silver for BC. These girls, and their parents have developed a long lasting bond since playing for Seaside and will likely stay friends for many years to come.
