Dooley Named Men's Volleyball Head Coach

Capilano University Athletics & Recreation is pleased to announce Dave Dooley as the new head coach of the Blues men's volleyball team.

Dooley brings a wealth of experience to the position as both a coach and educator. He is currently a head coach with the Seaside Volleyball Club in South Surrey, running their U18 Boys program and beach volleyball program. In 2016 his U16 team didn't drop a set all season and won a Provincial championship, and in 2017 his beach pairing won Provincial gold (one of the members of that team, Markus Bratsburg, has committed to CapU for the fall).

A native of Surrey, Dooley also has experience coaching at the Volleyball Canada Centre of Excellence, as well as with Team BC for both indoor and beach volleyball.

“Having been an opponent of the Blues for a number of seasons I've had the opportunity to watch this program develop into a perennial contender under the tutelage of coach Emmanuel Denguessi,” said Dooley. “I'm thrilled to now have the chance to work with this fine group of young men and the Blues program towards the goal of winning a provincial title and competing on the national stage.”
